Governance of the Development and Regulatory Authority (RDA) for SIRs

The State Government will establish an RDA for each SIR designated by it

The RDA will be a legal entity.

The State Government is also authorized to appoint any Government agency or a government company to serve as the RDA.

The RDA will consist of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, CEO, and up to eleven members, all of whom will be appointed by the Government. It will include both official and non-official members, along with experts in relevant fields.

Key Powers and Functions of the D-RDA

To develop the land use plan, town planning scheme, and development plan for the SIR.

To oversee, monitor, control, and ensure the orderly development of the SIR.

To establish infrastructure and public amenities.

To acquire land, manage properties, and handle the sale, lease, and transfer of properties, including land.

To enter into contracts with unit holders and developers.

To impose and collect fees and user charges, and regulate development activities.

To eliminate unauthorized construction and encroachments, handling all on-ground activities, planning, and regulation.
