The Gujarat Infrastructure Development Board (GIDB), chaired by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, functions as the Apex Authority for infrastructure development across the state. While GIDB may delegate certain responsibilities to its Executive Committee—led by the Hon’ble Minister of State for Industries (MoS)—its core functions remain non-transferable. These include the approval and modification of development plans, town planning schemes, and general development regulations, all of which stay under the direct jurisdiction of the Apex Authority.

This governance structure ensures that critical decisions shaping Gujarat’s infrastructure are made at the highest level, preserving both strategic oversight and accountability in the state’s development process.
